I would like to have pictures of my seed starts, of radishes and peas sprouting in my garden beds, the exciting and beautiful things of Spring. But that's not going to happen this year. I DO have some things growing, my fruit trees and lilies are green and leafy. There's a small jungle of plants that over winter in my home awaiting the warmer nights of summer, so they can be freed to the outside world, are alive and well.
This year is a year of hardscaping. I'll show you once it's all done. Maybe I can even get my amazing husband to write some guest posts on how he went about learning and doing.
My projects are not so grandiose. I am replacing the liners of my garden beds, sanding and refinishing said beds, and amending the soil. I need to make a new popcorn tin ashtray for the summer patio season. I have done some research on non-toxic coatings and finishes for my beds so I'll let you know what I finally land on. I also need to make a batch of summer lip balm and replenish some of my homemade soap stores that were depleted over the winter. I'll have some of those projects written up for you, of course.
While my projects and DIY output are slowed, I have to DO THEM still, my plan is to keep writing posts on some of my other topics, like recipes, books, and hobbies. This blog is more of a variety show anyway!
All of this is subject to change at any given moment of course. Embrace chaos.
Thanks for being here!
